Tony Leask doesn’t just sell fabric protection—he’s reshaped the industry around it to protect the beautiful spaces of homes, resorts, commercial spaces and superyachts without compromising the planet.
Tony’s journey began in New Zealand as the sole importer and distributor of one of the best textile protectors at the time, from the United States. It was here, on the ground and working directly with clients and fibres, that his deep understanding of textile protection began to take shape.
While it all started with a single mission: to offer premium protection for soft furnishings that actually worked. What Tony saw in the market was a sea of “quick-fix” products—many of them containing harmful chemicals, fading and damaging fabrics or falling short in real-world application. He knew there had to be a better way.
By combining research-driven innovation with a sharp understanding of how fabrics behave in residential, commercial and marine settings, Tony built Premium Surface Protection—a company that now leads the industry in high-performance, PFAS-free fabric and leather protection. His partnership with leading chemists in Australia and Germany meant successfully developing proprietary blends that deliver long-lasting, high-performance protection across all fibre types.
The Australian Furniture Association called it a “pivotal decision”—recognising that Tony was one step ahead of forthcoming PFAS bans in 2025
Today, the PSP portfolio spans high-end homes, global hospitality brands, and some of the world’s most luxurious superyachts. The company’s proprietary technology, Decorgard is independently certified by OEKO-TEX®, CleanSeal®, and Woolsafe, and is proudly free from PFAS, APEOs, and chemicals of concern.
From sprawling resorts to award-winning interiors and finely tailored yachts, Tony’s approach is never just about the product. It’s about partnership—working with designers, architects, and project managers to protect their work and elevate their sustainability credentials.

In 2024, his efforts were recognised in the Australian Furniture Association’s feature, calling him a leader in “backing Aussie innovation”.
Then further cementing his impact in this industry, Tony Leask is also a founding member of the Australian Furnishing Industry Stewardship Council (AFISC)—a nationwide initiative focused on reducing waste, improving product stewardship, and creating a circular economy across the furnishing sector.
His role within AFISC reflects a deeper commitment to future-proofing the industry and embedding environmental responsibility into every stage of the supply chain.
